Case study · publicly documented

A small, science-first lifting audience became the app 500,000 people track their nutrition in.

Greg Nuckols built Stronger by Science, a modest, devoted audience of lifters who trusted his evidence-based writing. Nowhere near celebrity scale.

The setup

Greg Nuckols built Stronger by Science, a modest, devoted audience of lifters who trusted his evidence-based writing. Nowhere near celebrity scale.

The app

His nutrition method became MacroFactor: an app that reads each member’s own data and adapts their plan week to week, something a course or a PDF could never do at scale.

What happened

It passed 500,000 users in the most crowded category in fitness, earning recurring subscription revenue he shares in.

Before

  • A niche strength blog
  • A devoted but small audience
  • Writing, not a product

After

  • 500,000+ users
  • Recurring subscription revenue
  • A share he owns

Why it matters

Audience size wasn’t the unlock. A niche, science-first blog was enough, because the method was real and the product encoded it. What turned writing into a recurring asset was software that does what a course or a PDF can’t: read each member’s own data and adapt week to week. That’s the part a creator app studio builds and runs, so the creator keeps doing what they’re great at.

The model, without the legwork

We’re the product team you don’t have to go build.

We build the app around your method, you keep a 70% net-revenue share in writing for as long as it runs, and if your audience doesn’t take to it you owe nothing and keep the app.
